The House of Finance, a symbol of BSB’s strategic pole
This space consecrated to finance and business governance in BSB engages both academic teaching and research and accommodates 8 teacher-researchers and 4 classrooms. Each finance specialization has its own classroom in order to reinforce the promotion spirit: the MSc Corporate Finance & Investment Banking (CFIB), the Corporate Finance Specialization, the Banking & Wealth Management Specialization, and the Financial Control Specialization launched at the start of the 2017-18 academic year.
The key component is the Bloomberg Trading Floor, one of the most outstanding amongst French business schools. Equipped with 12 triple screened stations and wall screens continuously broadcasting financial news, it can welcome up to 25 students at the same time. Bloomberg provides a significant volume of information and real data; the same used by professionals and
operators in real trading floors and banks. This real-life tool will therefore enhance the student‘s professional experience and employability.
Strong and involved partners
“BPBFC has been collaborating with BSB for years in the context of numerous projects such as the Chaire en Microfinance and also guiding students during their internship research, apprenticeship or employment” recalls Bruno Duchesne, Director General of the BPBFC. “This new project strengthens this commitment. We put our expertise at the disposal of the school to guide the students. We have, in our bank, a team of experts managing an outstanding balance under mandate of 500 million euros for a portfolio of 3,000 clients.”
Jean-Pierre Deramecourt, Chairman of the Board of the CEBFC, explains that his institution “commits daily to the economic and social development of the region. This active partnership with BSB raises from a prevailing desire of accompanying the initiatives destined to develop skills and thus providing young graduates an advantage when entering employment. Education is a powerful lever for the development of our region’s attractiveness so it is only natural that we put forward our experts to assist in BSB’s new training framework.”
