Density and diversity fort the most cosmopolitan wine programme in the world
The School of Wine & Spirits Business (SWSB) of BSB welcomes its new students between September and October: almost 150 students – of which a majority of internationals and women – join the different programmes of the institution. Among them, the MBA Wine & Spirits Business registers its record class.
Thus, with 27 participants, the new class of the MBA Wine & Spirits Business is the largest since the creation of the programme in 2018. The students come from 15 nationalities (again a record), including 5 from India, 4 from the USA and 6 from China/Taiwan. Canada, Brazil, Iceland, Mexico, the Netherlands, the UK, Russia, Turkey, Vietnam and France are also represented.
Cosmopolitan and rich programme
“We have 14 women and 13 men, aged between 25 and 53, making our programme the most cosmopolitan in the world in the wine and spirits management sector“, explains Jacques Thébault, Director of the MBA. “This year, even more than in previous years, we are bringing together profiles with a very rich professional pedigree: 4 participants are entrepreneurs and have already created their own business, while 7 are not from the sector and are therefore in the process of reconversion.“
Among the highlights of the year: the third edition of the Greek Wineries Project (an international consulting programme to support Greek wineries in their export marketing strategy), a Champagne Wine & Law Seminar in partnership with the Georges Chappaz Institute of Vine and Wine in Champagne, a study trip to New York and the harvest at the Armand Heitz winery to launch the year (photo).
