PROGRAMME OBJECTIVES

The MSc Arts & Cultural Management aims to train future arts and cultural managers and provides them with the broad knowledge, experience and skills required to work in cultural and creative industries, both at national and international level. The degree prepares students for managerial positions in the fields of the performing arts, cultural heritage ad NGOs in the cultural and creative sector.

  • Socio-economic context of Arts and Culture
  • Arts marketing, cultural entrepreneurship

  • Cultural Entrepreneurship
  • Fundraising
  • Digitalization & Creative industries
  • Cultural project engineering
  • Field trip in a European capital city
  • Destination governance and cultural tourism
  • Creative cities & territorial development

CAREER OPPORTUNITIES

Middle management positions in the fields of:

  -  Performing Arts: Theatre, Dance, Music, Literature…
  -  Cultural heritage: Touristic sites, museums, galleries…
  -  NGOs in the cultural and creative sector
  -  Cultural and creative industries: media, press, films, music industry...

Requirements

  •  IELTS (6.5 or equivalent)
  •  Interview with the head of the programme

Organization of an international festival in the arts and cultural sector (this year: International Festival in Besançon Excentricités in collaboration with the Institute of Fine Arts) that teaches students how to work with artists at all levels: management, communication, logistics…
One field trip to a European capital (last year: Madrid) with specific study visits, conferences, events, encounter with professionals
A joint workshop in a UNESCO world heritage site
Creation of a Cultural Diary: to understand and analyze the current trends in arts and culture
