An important doctoral programme in the School’s new strategic plan
Dimitris Assimakopoulos joins BSB with the main mission to launch a Global DBA (Doctor of Business Administration) in the coming months.
Enjoying double nationality Greek and British, Dimitris Assimakopoulos serves as a full Professor in Technology and Innovation Management and joins the Digital Leadership department of BSB. He holds a PhD from the University of Sheffield and an HDR from the University of Grenoble. He has previously worked at Grenoble Ecole de Management and EM Lyon Business School.
Dimitris’ research has focused on responsible innovation and NPD (New Product Development), the management of social networks in R&D collaboration, the origins and evolution of technological communities in emerging regional knowledge-based clusters, and industrial innovation ecosystems in the EU, the US, the UK, and China.
Director of the BSB Global DBA
Dimitris also serves as the President of the EDAMBA (European Doctoral programmes Association in Management & Business Administration) and has a long-standing interest in doctoral education, both policy and practice for the past twenty years. His rich experience will be invaluable for setting up and launching the BSB Global DBA. This innovative professional practice doctorate will be delivered part-time and aims to enroll reflective practitioners: executives and senior managers of private, public, and community-led organizations.
