COVID-19: NEW ORGANISATION AT BSB

Up-to-date information on the organisation of the school in the current context

In light of the ongoing COVID-19 crisis, BSB has taken further steps to ensure the welfare of the whole school community, adapting its set-up to a constantly evolving situation, in the latest case the re-introduction of lockdown on November 2, 2020.. 

The governing principles are intended, on the one hand, to ensure the continuation of teaching activities and, on the other hand, to encourage the maximum amount of distance work in support of the health policy designed to combat COVID-19. 

The first measure involves the delivery of all courses in distance mode from Monday up until the Christmas holidays. Exams will also be taken remotely. Following a request from the Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation, the School premises will nevertheless remain open for students in accordance with strict health conditions.

STUDENTS

In all order to ensure the continuation of all teaching activities and avoid students finding themselves digitally and socially disconnected (especially international students),
the School remains open to all students
with the following restrictive measures in place:

  • Dijon: a limit of 100 students per half-day, with advance reservation required. The School is open Monday to Saturday included.
  • Lyon: a limit of 30 students per half-day, with advance reservation required. The School is open Monday to Friday included.
  • Paris: campus open for part-time Specialised Masters in International Trade in Wines and Spirits sessions, in respect of the half-limit and protective measures. 

Students can access the Learning Center in order to study and borrow books. 

Student support services (especially in remote format) have been increased, including Team Feel Good, tuition, internships and sandwich courses, and personal guidance. Face-to-face psychological support services have also been set up.

TEACHING STAFF

On both the Dijon and Lyon campuses, teachers can, if required, deliver classes in the MTR classrooms (rooms with no attending students) and therefore use the School’s available distance learning tools and technical support services. 

CONTINUING EDUCATION

The Ministry of Employment has authorised the continuation of vocational training activities (provided all protective measures are respected), meaning that the School’s continuing education is maintained on campus. This applies to the following two programmes: 

  • The MBA Wine & Spirits Business (15 participants)
  • The part-time Specialised Masters in International Trade in Wines and Spirits in Paris (12 participants)

The small class sizes make it possible for teaching to continue to be delivered in strict respect of all protective measures.
