A 3-step progression

The Bachelor in Management programme is delivered over 3 progressive years, enabling you to master the core fundamentals of management in France and internationally.

Bachelor 1

Discover

You build the foundations of management, economics and law. You complete your first 8 to 12-week internship and take part in an international seminar to improve your language skills and broaden your horizons.

Bachelor 2

Experiment

You deepen your knowledge and take part in an international mobility experience (semester or summer school). Complete a second internship of at least 4 months, giving you direct exposure to the realities of business, ideally in finance so you can gain hands-on experience in this sector.

Bachelor 3

Specialise

You choose the Finance specialisation and develop your technical skills (financial analysis, markets, reporting). You complete a final-year project that showcases your expertise to recruiters. This 3rd year is available through a work-study programme.

An academic experience

From the very first year, you take part in an international seminar at BSB or at one of our 13 partner destinations, helping you improve your language skills and discover a different academic culture.

In the second year, you can spend a semester or attend a summer school at one of our 200 partner universities, some of which are globally recognised for finance. In the third year, you have the opportunity to go even further by pursuing a double degree. For example, BSB opens the doors to Frankfurt School of Finance & Management, one of Europe’s leading universities in finance, located in the heart of Europe’s economic capital.

Result: your Bachelor in Finance is not limited to Dijon or Lyon. It is an international journey in which you can explore a range of academic and professional experiences abroad, and graduate with a profile that is highly valued by recruiters.

What you will study on the Bachelor in Finance at BSB

Alongside the core fundamentals of management, in the 3rd year the Finance specialisation gives you a strong command of key financial and banking principles, with half of the courses taught in English to prepare you to work in an international environment.

  • International Finance Module

Courses in English - 30 hours

Gain an understanding of international financial management and the strategic decisions made by multinational companies. You will learn how to manage exchange-rate risk, understand global financial flows and oversee investment decisions in a globalised environment. This module will give you the tools to think about finance on an international and multicultural scale.

  • Financial Mathematics and Theory Module

Courses in English - 30 hours

Develop your skills in financial mathematics to assess portfolio performance, understand modern investment theories (optimal portfolio, market risk, excess return) and master the decision-making tools used in both business and banking. You will learn to analyse the relevance and limits of the major financial models in order to better understand the behaviour of economic players.

  • Banks and Companies Module

Courses in French - 30 hours

Discover the role of banks in financing the economy and managing credit risk. You will study corporate financing mechanisms, including those linked to the ecological transition, and understand how digital banks are reshaping access to credit for SMEs. This course trains you to assess creditworthiness and build a long-term relationship between banks and businesses.

  • Financial Reporting Module

Courses in French - 30 hours

Master the tools of accounting, management control and corporate finance to drive performance. You will learn how to produce, analyse and present strategic financial data, and how to adopt the role of a “business partner” to support leaders in decision-making and value creation.

These modules are complemented by real-life case studies and practical scenarios inspired by current sector challenges, enabling you to learn how to make decisions and act like a future finance professional.

FAQ – Everything you want to know

Can I change campus during the programme?

+
Yes. You can start your Bachelor at Dijon and continue at Lyon (or the other way round). This allows you to benefit from the strengths of each campus: the House of Finance and its mini Wall Street in Dijon, as well as the Design Lab and Lyon’s brand-new innovative campus. Some specialisations are only offered on one campus, and your admission details will indicate the relevant campus.

How do I find a company for my work-study placement?

+
You are never on your own. From the moment you are admitted, you benefit from personalised support from the Pathfinder™ coaches through CV guidance, interview practice, recruitment events, a company forum and one-to-one coaching. More than 1,500 opportunities are offered every year by BSB’s partner companies.

Is work-study available from the 1st year?

+
No. It is only available in the 3rd year. The first two years are designed to help you build solid foundations in management, gain international experience and complete your first internships. Before that stage, work-study roles are often too operational and not sufficiently developmental, so we prefer to prepare you for a genuinely career-building work-study experience in the 3rd year.

What is the difference compared with a BTS or a BUT?

+
A BTS or a BUT mainly prepares you for a specific profession, with a more traditional academic approach and less international exposure. The Bachelor in Management at BSB, by contrast, is a three-year degree conferring the Licence grade, with genuine international openness, a rich student life, immersive field trips, Inspiring Leaders Meet-ups and enhanced career support. In short: a strong qualification, but above all a full life experience.

Do I have to continue on to a Master’s degree?

+
No, nothing is compulsory. Many students secure their first job after the Bachelor with a salary of between €30,000 and €35,000 gross per year. However, 81% choose to continue to a Master in Management or an MSc in order to aim for positions of greater responsibility. At BSB, the choice remains yours: you can even change specialisation when starting your Master’s.

What level of English do I need?

+
You do not need to be bilingual to begin. At BSB, you improve through courses taught 50% in English, included certifications (TOEIC, IELTS), international immersion experiences and regular practice in a professional context. You naturally become more confident and are able to work in an international environment by the end of the programme.

Ready to shape your future?

Over these three years, you will experience student life to the fullest, through international experiences, student-led projects, inspiring encounters with business leaders and personalised support.
By choosing the Finance specialisation, you build strong foundations for understanding markets and businesses, while also discovering your own talents. You leave with valuable skills, but above all with the confidence and network needed to forge your own path, whether in the job market or through further study.
