François Quenouille (BSB'90): Alchemy at all costs

A graduate of BSB in 1990, François Quenouille now runs RSCONSULTANTS, an independent firm that is shaking up training codes. Between humor, field expertise and exceptional mentors, he defends a human, concrete and committed vision of training and coaching.

“I don't sell slides, I sell impact.” From the start, the tone is set. At RSCONSULTANTS, a firm that he took over in 2022 after a career in the automotive industry and then in training, François advocates a direct, tailor-made, and no-nonsense approach.

A muscular triptych

Training, coaching and mentoring are the three pillars of the business. All backed by a strong conviction: training is only useful if it is prolonged in action. “We are often satisfied when we leave a training course. But what is important is what we have learned, and that we will want to put into practice. That's why post-training support is essential ”.

François also works with a network of mentors, personalities from the world of sport or civil society (such as the former head physician of RAID Matthieu Langlois, or the former rugby international Marc Lièvremont), who have developed very strong expertise in areas that also very closely affect the business world: leadership, stress management, assertiveness. The meetings are extremely enriching, and followed by workshops.

A differentiating position: gap and expertise

In contrast to standardized programs, RSCONSULTANTS claims an experiential and emotional pedagogy.. Mentalism, immersive pedagogy, Biohacking (energy management) the objective is clear, to capture attention to arouse emotion and reaction. “A course where people are bored is a failure. The brain remembers what surprises it, what moves it ”.

François also cultivates this quirky positioning on LinkedIn, where he publishes regularly and with a lot of humor: “I am my own community manager. I care about it, because I want to keep a human word.”

A deeply human vision of education

While artificial intelligence is interfering in all areas of training, François Quenouille remains lucid: yes, technological tools can enrich pedagogy, but no, they should not replace humans. “The training, It's about connection, experience, collective intelligence. What a trainer or coach can transmit with their guts, an AI will never reproduce.”

A formula that summarizes his philosophy well: A = (D+H) x T, in other words Alchemy = (Dopamine + Human) x Time. A mantra that he applies in all his missions, with an assumed objective: to cause lasting triggers.
