The faculty of the School of Wine & Spirits Business is made up of both academic experts and professionals, including a Master of Wine, Steve Charters, and professionals from the industry with a depth of experience.
Cutting edge research informs the content of the training, bringing it close to the sector and associated businesses.
60 academics and professionals from the world of wines and spirits in France and abroad have been recent speakers.
OUR TEACHING APPROACH
We live in an increasingly digital world with billions of data: a world of the unknown requiring new skills, 70% of which do not yet exist.
Our responsibility as a management school is to train the players who will make the world of tomorrow: teach them to be agile, to shake up codes, to be entrepreneurs and intrapreneurs, to operate in a multicultural context.
We now need leaders to be more open-minded than high-level, listening to others, open to the world, able to interpret their surroundings.
Training must be adapted to these new challenges. Training must no longer be simply theoretical, it must move towards the ‘Do and Learn’ approach: learn how to do and undo, experiment, make mistakes, start again…
Silo courses are no longer appropriate. Rather, the approach must now tackle cross-cutting and global problems. Gone is the choice between business and ethics: societal responsibility must be at the heart of the teaching to develop sustainable models.
It is important to understand the impact of technology on professional life. Digital skills must form a key part of the training.
